Alas, one of your girlfriends has become pregnant in some way or another and it is the time for her best friend to throw her a fabulous baby shower where all the things she needs in order to actually take care of the baby will be there. The last thing you should be doing is showing up empty handed without a gift.
You should always think of something to bring that is the life of the party and is useful for the mother when the party is over. You could simply bring the diaper cakes as well since the twenty other people at the shower will probably love you for that particular contribution.
Hopefully, the mother and her best friend had a registry set up so would know to buy one of those baby crib bedding sets instead of a breast pump like everyone else. It can probably be agreed that baby showers are always on the dull side. There’s never any alcohol and there will not be any men so it’s difficult to make it a good time. But still, you have to stick through it for your friend and soon to be mother. So when all else fails, bring the cake.
